Putting a lot into an auction
There are two ways into the auctions. Members at Outcast tier or above use the submission form. If you look after the auctions section as a manager, you use the form in your own workspace instead.
What you are asked for
- Title and description — the same honesty as a noticeboard advert. Marks, faults, what is missing.
- Sale type — bidding, or buy it now.
- Condition — new, like new, used, or for parts.
- Who can see it — the whole community, or private.
- Starting bid, and a reserve if you have a floor below which you would rather keep it. Zero means no reserve.
- Buy-it-now price, if you want one.
- When it ends.
Then it waits, and it waits out of sight
Your lot is not public while it waits. It sits as a draft that only Rodrigo can open. Nobody can find it by searching, and nobody can reach it by guessing the address. Take your time over the description before you send it, because a good one is worth more than a fast one.
Approved is not the same as started
When Rodrigo approves your lot, its page is published. The auction itself is still pending and takes no bids. Starting it is a separate decision he makes when the lot is ready to run.
So the page appearing with no bids on it is the system working. If it has sat there a while and you think it is ready, ask him rather than assuming something has failed.
