What cookies are

Cookies are small text files a website keeps in your browser. Some sites also keep small notes in your browser’s own storage, which works in a similar way. This page lists everything g3m.me keeps in your browser, and why.

Essential cookies — always on

The site cannot work without these, so the law lets us use them without asking.

• Signing in (wordpress_logged_in_…, wordpress_sec_…, wordpress_test_cookie) — keep you signed in. They last until you sign out, or up to 14 days if you tick “Remember me”.
• Your basket (wp_woocommerce_session_…, woocommerce_items_in_cart, woocommerce_cart_hash) — remember what is in your basket, for up to 2 days.
• Safe payments (__stripe_mid, __stripe_sid) — set by Stripe, who handle our card payments, on pages with a payment form. They help stop card fraud and last 1 year and 30 minutes. See Stripe’s cookie policy.
• Security checks — short-lived cookies that confirm a two-step sign-in or an approval. They last a few minutes and are removed once used.
• Newsletter reward (g3m_nl_token) — after you subscribe, lets you claim your free reward. It lasts 1 hour.
• This notice (g3m_cookie_consent) — remembers your answer to the cookie question. It lasts 1 year.

Settings you choose

A few things are kept in your browser’s own storage, never sent to us, and only once you use the feature: a copy of your basket so pages load faster, sound on or off at the poker table, panels you have folded away, and — if you use private messaging — your encryption key, so that only you can read your messages.

Optional cookies — only if you say yes

When you first visit, we ask whether we may use optional cookies. Nothing optional is set until you say yes.

• Invite links (g3m_referral_code) — if you arrived through a member’s invite link, it remembers who invited you for 30 days, so they are credited if you join later. If you say no, joining straight from the invite link still credits them.
• Price charts — some finance articles show a live price chart from TradingView, which may set its own cookies. If you say yes, charts load straight away; otherwise a chart only loads when you click “Show chart”.

We do not use advertising or analytics cookies, and nothing on g3m.me follows you around other websites. Our shop software can record which website sent you to us when you place an order; that is switched off.

Changing your mind

Use Cookie settings at the bottom of any page to see the notice again. You can also delete cookies in your browser settings at any time; if you delete the essential ones you will be signed out and your basket will be emptied.
