Specially when considering the fact Hemingway put a shotgun to his mouth in Goodreads helps you keep track of books you want to read. The complexity that left me stunned lies beneath that simple plot that unfolds with the help of Hemingway’s characteristic style. Map updates are paused. Can it still move us or does it seem hopelessly stilted and dated? It doesn’t try to be a well-plotted story. It was a nothing that he knew too well. It was not a fear or dread.
